I was supposed to go to the office today, but decided to work on my car instead. This probably makes me a bad businessman.

So the doohickey that holds the mirror and guides the window has been broken since I got the car. This has led to a window that does not close properly, and a floppy driver’s side mirror. Larry the awesome Sunchaser guy who runs the Sunchaser Facebook group sold me a new doohickey, and is such a Celica guru that he knew what it was from my lame description. If you read this Larry, I am not worthy. You rule.

In addition, the action on that mirror is so loose that it needs constant adjustment, and the wind pushes it back at highway speeds. It is annoying as shit, and my wife bought me a new mirror on eBay for Christmas. But the quality on parts of that one was poor so I cobbled together a good one from the parts of two.

I took a break to run to the auto parts store. While I am in here, I am going to try to fix the door panel lights that have never worked. Honestly, this has been my least frustrating project ever, and there has never been so little swearing. Am I too ambitious? Perhaps.

Toby is concerned. He has seen this before, and has watched the fallout when I get too confident with a wrench in my hand. Good thing he is not in charge!
